She began her beauty school education by attending Wilfred Beauty School in New York followed by Dudley University where she took advanced courses in hair care and styling. Committed to continuing education and skill advancement, Mrs. Powe-Barton also attended advanced hair cutting at Vidal Sassoon in California and advanced hair coloring at Clairol Professional. Lesline’s commitment to style and customer care has enabled her to build successful salon businesses in Queens, New York   and Orlando, Florida, where she is the owner of Hair in Motion of New York Salon and Spa.
